Meet Desi!
This incredibly sweet, one-year-old pittie-terrier mix spent at least a month running back and forth across a the Beeline Highway outside of Phoenix in the summer heat. When H.A.R.T.T. got the call about him they knew they had to spring to action.
And they came through...the wonderful staff and volunteers managed to trap him by persuading the hungry boy with some much-needed food. He was so happy to be rescued but is aching to find a home that will keep him forever. He does great with other dogs, kids and is chipped, vaccinated and neutered! He’s got great manners and a demeanor that will melt your heart. Desi is treat motivated and knows all of his basic commands and sure does love his walkies and for this good boy loves his ball so much. He's the perfect size and would love to cuddle up to you and keep you warm and feeling safe at night. And I asked him about his adventurous past...all he told me was he loves the way the wind can flap through his ears, the way the smells make his tail wag a mile a minute and how much gratitude he has for all the curiosities of the great outdoors. Maybe he'd make the perfect adventure buddy for you!
