This month’s incredible educator is a 2nd grade teacher from the Scottsdale Unified District - the wonderful Tavan Elementary School!
We are so excited to introduce you to Maria DeVenuto who goes above and beyond to create a loving, interactive , exciting space for each child to learn. Her 2nd graders are continually sharpening their skills by working with manipulative, games and friends. She is a true leader, adored by her students, their parents, her peers, and her community, graduating magna cum laude with a BA in elementary education from ASU and holding the position of CKLA lead and PTO representative. She gives so much of herself to make sure these kiddos get the best learning experience imaginable and we are so excited to honor her this month!
The mother of one of her student's nominated her saying "(She's) a mother of her own children and she treats all her students as if they were her own too. She always takes the extra time with students and makes it fun. Every student loves coming to school to see Ms. D! "
Miss DeVenuto was presented with $500 thanks to our friends with the Arizona State Fair as well as a pizza party for her class from Spinato's Pizza! ❤️
