I spent the weekend exploring the new 'hood and I have to say, it's definitely home sweet home! Check out five photos from my weekend (and come hungry!)
On Friday my bestie and I hit up the Heritage District and stumbled upon the cute little rooftop spot called Soto! We were seated on the railing facing the hustle and bustle of the evening lights and were also blessed with this view! The moon only stayed directly above the water tower for a few moments and we were lucky enough to capture it!
We also stumbled upon these as we wandered the district - adult capri suns. Not actually recommended for a real adult as I'm pretty sure drinking the whole thing may take someone out for a week. But they were fun for a photo or two! So was the little spot we found them in - next to the top secret White Rabbit speakeasy, lies a similarly top secret spot with a completely different vibe called The Parlour Room. They were spinning the 90s records and everyone was dancing to their favorite nostalgia!
Saturday was my first visit to a farmer's market since moving to the Valley three years ago! And Gilbert has one of the BEST! It was so fun wandering amongst the food trucks and stands filled with fresh baked bread and farm-fresh veggies. We even got to watch a woman roast hatch chiles! But my favorite was this delicious turkey pesto waffle from the Waffle Crush truck! Highly recommended if you are at the market and in for something yummy!
Want some spooky treats for your pup that are also good for them? I stumbled upon the Ruff Life Dog Bones stand at the farmer's market and the line was a mile long! For good reason. They've won Best in the Valley on more than one occasion and their fresh, all naturally-sourced dog treats were a hit with every dog at the market! Mine included. My spoiled girl got chicken necks, a chicken foot and a duck foot! Not pretty to look at but she sure thought they were divine.
Sunday was brunch at OHSO! This spot has quickly become my favorite because....well, DOGS. All. The. Dogs. It's heaven for a dog owner or dog lover. All the pups get water dishes with their name on it and humans can enjoy a delicious brunch menu that includes FRUITY PEBBLE FRENCH TOAST. Need I say more?
