SJ's Fur-Ever Friends: Meet Raisin (ADOPTED!)

UPDATE: RAISIN HAS BEEN ADOPTED! :)

Meet Raisin!

Raisin is a one-year-old Pitty Shar-Pei mix waiting patiently for her fur-ever home at Almost There Rescue. This sweet girl was rescued as a pregnant mama. After giving birth to her "Grapes" litter of puppies, she raised them and they were all eventually adopted out once they were old enough. So was Raisin. But unfortunately her owner realized that their long hours at work weren't allowing Raisin the life she deserved and the rescue graciously welcomed her back with open arms. And it's here, she waits. And has been waiting for months. I have a feeling it will be worth the wait for her though as she couldn't be in better hands than with the loving staff and volunteers at Almost There.

This wonderful pup is everything you could want in a four-legged companion. She's beautiful inside and out. She's well-mannered. Knows basic commands. Is gentle. Is playful. Is lovable. And just wants to be the loyal addition to a home that has the time and space for her. Raisin would prefer to be the only dog but she LOVES kids and is more than willing to burn off some energy with them. Then she'll likely curl up in your lap ready for a snuggle session. She loves toys and she loves silly noises and is treat motivated. What more could you ask for?

More info on Raisin and how to adopt can be found HERE.

Please share so we can get this good girl a GREAT home.

Almost There Rescue specializes in pregnant and nursing dogs and pups who need time and space to grow and become socialized. Their moms and pups have significant social time with adults, children, and other dogs. While in their care, their puppies go through a specially designed curriculum “Puppy Culture” developed by a team of experts including behavioral veterinarians and credentialed trainers. As soon as they are born and until they leave the rescue, the pups participate in age-appropriate enrichment activities to help with their socialization and overall development into well adjusted furry family members. Their mama dogs also work with on site behaviorists who develop personalized programs to prepare them for life as your new best friend. All dogs are exposed to many experiences to set them – and their new families – up for a lifetime of success. ATR is determined to give adopters all the information available about our dogs so we can find the perfect match. All of their dogs are altered, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on vaccines prior to adoption. Adoption fees paid help cover our substantial costs and fund our life-saving work.

ATR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and receives no tax or government funding.
