UPDATE: Venus has been ADOPTED! :)
Meet Venus!
Venus is a 3-year-old mastiff who was rescued from a breeder/hoarder. She is now ready for adoption and patiently waiting her fur-ever home with the angels at #LovePup Foundation.
Where do I start with this girl? This gentle giant's eyes tell a story that none of us would want to hear. She's been through a lot. Bred to exhaustion. Who knows how many puppies she's given birth to over the course of her short three years. She's a bit shy but warms up pretty quickly once she knows she can trust you. And how does she show that trust? By giving you her paw. Yes, this wonderful girl will look you in the eyes and place her paw on your hand or your lap to say, "okay, we can be friends." It's apparent she's never had the opportunity to be a dog. I gave her a toy and she didn't even know what to do with it. But she's been known to get the zoomies now and again once she feels safe and you can tell there's an inner puppy that never got a chance to emerge just waiting to bust out. Venus doesn't realize she's as big as a human. She wants to be a lap dog. She's even tried to ride on one of the sweet volunteer's laps during a car ride (the volunteer was driving so you can imagine how that went). I could go on and on but you need to watch her interview and meet her for yourself. Maybe you'll find a place in your heart and home for her. Or maybe you'll find it in your heart to share her story so we can find her the fur-ever home she deserves, where she can live out the many years she has left actually getting to be a DOG.
