UPDATE! Patty has been Adopted!
Meet Patty!
Patty is an 8-year-old pitty mix patiently waiting for her Fur-Ever home at the Arizona Animal Welfare League. This sweet pup came to the shelter blind and deaf and has proven to everyone that even though she can't see or hear, that she is just as capable as any other dog! Patty also has a heightened sense of smell and taste (or so it seems) and is very treat motivated. She loves car rides (it's almost as if she has a beautiful memory of the days she she could see out the window and her smile says it all). Patty gets along great with kids and other dogs and is truly the most trusting, curious pup considering her setbacks. But once you meet this smiling, tail-wagging sweetheart you will realize they aren't setbacks at all - but instead what truly makes this pup shine. Come visit her today. Maybe you could be the lifelong friend she's been waiting so patiently for.
The Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA (AAWL & SPCA) is the largest and oldest no-kill shelter in Arizona. A "no-kill" shelter is an animal shelter that does not kill healthy or treatable animals even when the shelter is full. AAWL rescues, rehabilitates, and re-homes more than 4,000 dogs and cats that are abandoned or that have been surrendered by their owners. All pets offered for adoption have been spayed or neutered; micro-chipped and are current on all vaccinations.
