The Spokane Humane Society is hosting its annual pledge walk Parade of Paws on Saturday, June 15 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
It's going to be a GORGEOUS weekend and the shelter is expecting a huge turnout – the goal is 1,000 participants!
They welcome all dogs – big and small, long and short – and their owners to walk two to four miles starting and finishing on their campus, 6607 N. Havana Street.
More than 40 businesses and non-profits will be here for a vendor fair as well.
Come enjoy some delicious eats in the food truck area featuring Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream, Tasty Dogs Inc., CRATE Food Truck, Black Fire Kettle Corn and coffee by Golden Gem Mercantile.
And get ready to put on those dancing shoes (paws?) because there will also be live music by the Angela Marie Project from 11-1 p.m.
One of the SHS volunteers is putting on a dog pedicure booth for tired paws (yes, you heard that correctly...dog pedicures) and they will have a VW photo bus for fun pictures with your pooch! The pet thrift store will be open and keep the kiddos entertained with face painting and a bouncy castle!
And don't forget the veterinary clinic is offering $10 microchips (including registration) and $10 basic vaccinations for dogs and cats between 9 a.m. and noon. – first come, first served.
And finally: the shelter has all the dogs. ALL the dogs. Maybe it's time to add to your family?
I hope to see you there! Stop by the KISS 98.1 Booth with your pup, meet my pup Cricket and say hello!
xoxo,
SJ
