Timberline Adventures in Coeur d'Alene has everything you need for a day of fun. All you need? The perfect adventure buddy. In my case, this was my dad.
The 2.5 hour tour started at Timberline headquarters in downtown CDA. This is where they geared us up and got us ready for our day of adrenaline pounding fun.
Helmets on and carabiners in place, we set out to the van for a gorgeous drive along scenic Lake Coeur d'Alene to Beauty Bay. This is where the adventure truly starts. Especially in our case as it was pouring rain on the dirt road that we took via ATV to the top of the mountain. But rain won't make anyone melt and a little mud adds character so we chalked it all up as part of the rad experience we were about to have and laughed all the way up to the top.
Timberline's tour consists of seven ziplines. The last three being the craziest. 800 feet. 1000 feet. Then the doozy at the end - a full 1600 feet with views of the bay and the highway below. Spectacular. Even on a rainy day.
Add in the bridges, the treehouse tucked away deep in the woods and the incredible instructors and you have a day worth spending with your best friends and family. And one I guarantee you won't soon forget.
