UMOM New Day Centers are the largest provider of services for the homeless in Arizona.
They have programs and housing for single women, families, and now unaccompanied
youth. And they have the best walk for families, now in its 10th year, at the Phoenix Zoo
|Sept. 22. Your walk entry fee includes a wrist band good for all day admission to the Zoo.
You and the kids will see lots of animals as you're walking to end homelessness, but you're
also welcome to stay as long as you like and even leave and come back later in the day.
Get all the details at UMOM.org/walk And wear your flip-flops to join in the attempt
to set a new world record for most people running a 1K wearing flip-flops!
I had a chance to talk with UMOM CEO Darlene Newsom and Race Co-Chair Karie Cowden
for our Valley Views program. Take a few minutes to hear about the great work they are
doing and how you can help. Then sign up for the Walk and join us at the Zoo Sept 22!
