Surfing with Nixon offers families with autistic children a unique opportunity to experience
the fun of the waterpark in a supportive and comfortable atmosphere. Daniel and Shari
Romney's son Nixon is autistic and he LOVES the water. So they started Surfing with Nixon
to give kids like Nixon a chance to enjoy surfing therapy in the wave pool while allowing
the whole family to enjoy the full water park experience. Surfing spots are reserved and are
already filled for this year, but the event is open to families for just $30 for the whole family!
I spoke with Daniel and Shari about the event and what it means to families like theirs.
