Care Fund’s mission is to financially and resourcefully support Arizona families of children, birth to 18 years of age, who endure financial hardship while experiencing the extended illness or injury of their children. Founded in 2013, over the past 5 years, the fund has provided $1,300,000 in mortgage and rent assistance to serve 550 families throughout Arizona.
Care Fund is Arizona’s only 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to providing mortgage and rent assistance to families during a child’s extended health crisis. While even a short-term illness can disrupt typical family functioning and routines of daily living, a severe or extended illness or injury can create major long-term challenges. Parents are faced with large medical bills and loss of time at work, which significantly impacts their ability to maintain employment and a stable living situation. Many families find themselves unable to pay rent or mortgage and face eviction or foreclosure. Care Fund’s Mortgage and Rent Assistance Programs provides essential financial support during this critical time to enable parents to focus on caring for their families.
