From now until March 4 more than 16,000 Girl Scouts in central and northern Arizona will
be selling Girl Scout cookies! All proceeds remain right here in Arizona, helping fund troops,
camps, and programs.
For the 5th year in a row, chefs from across the Valley & in Flagstaff have used their culinary
powers to re-imagine the Girl Scout cookie flavors, from Thin Mints to Samoas, into
custom dessert menu items. Each restaurant will feature their dessert on their menu until
February 28, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Girl Scouting. I spoke with Heather
Thornton from the Girl Scouts and Gold Award winner Natalia Ramos about cookie sales,
the dessert challenge, and Natalia's Gold Award winning program.
