November is National Adoption Month

There are nearly 17,000 Arizona children of all ages and cultures in need of safe,
secure and loving environments.  Child Crisis Arizona is celebrating 40 years of
its committed vision to safe kids and strong families and their foster care and
adoption program is committed to helping children in out-of-home care by
licensing and certifying parents for foster care and adoption.  Torrie Taj, CEO
of Child Crisis Arizona, joined me on Valley Views to talk about thecurrent state
of adoption/foster and help with the myths and facts about foster caresuch as:·      
Myth: You have to be a stay-at-home parent to foster.·      
Myth: An individual has to be married to be a foster parent.·
