Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and if you’re unhappily single, broken-hearted or just over the Hallmark holiday, you may be dreading its arrival. But there’s a new Taylor Swift-inspired pop-up experience coming to Chicago that may be the perfect place to drown your sorrows.
Bad Blood: a Taylor themed Break-Up Bar is opening next week and will run from January 27th to February 26th. Bucket Listers, the events company putting it on, wants to make sure everyone has a place to hang in what they call the “Anti Valentine’s Day Season.” While they stress that Taylor herself will not be there, the $22 entrance fee will get visitors:
- A free welcome drink
- On-site tarot card readers
- The opportunity to “get bejeweled for photo opportunities and ready to engage in some champagne problems.”
- A spin on the “Shake It Off Wheel of Cocktails for your drink of choice.”
“Whether you want to sing about your lover, those who were never yours, those you’re never getting back together with, or those who still have your scarf, this is the perfect place for you,” the pop-up's website reads. Those who are in happy relationships are still welcome, as long as they don’t rub all that joy in people’s faces.
