Mother’s Day is just around the corner, but if it was up to most people, we’d have way more than one day to celebrate mom.
A new survey finds:
- 60% of Americans believe every day should be Mother’s Day, because we should always be showing appreciation for mom.
- 69% say moms don’t get enough credit for all they do.
- 86% say moms are the most hardworking people they know.
- 70% of folks describe their mom as their best friend.
- 63% say their mom is a superhero.
So, how will folks show their appreciation for mom on Mother’s Day?
- Well, the average person will spend $300 on mom.
- But two in three people say you don’t necessarily have to spend a lot to show mom how much they mean to you.
- But it’s not always easy finding mom the perfect gift.
- 64% of people believe they know what their moms would enjoy to get as a gift.
- 76% would prefer to ask mom what they want to make sure they are getting them the right thing.
- So, what do moms want for Mother’s Day?

- Homemade gifts
- Personalized gifts
- Chocolate, fruit arrangements or other edible gifts
- Gift cards/certificates
- Flowers
- Jewelry
- Electronics
- Household gifts
- Clothing/shoes
