Have you ever thought about having a beer for breakfast? The folks at Guinness think you might…and have introduced Guinness Breakfast Tea Amber.
It’s made from regular Irish Breakfast Tea and a beer base from Guinness’ American Amber Ale and is 4.8% ABV. It’s being sold in four-packs of 16-ounce cans and Guinness Head Brewer Sean Brennan tells Thrillist the “the combination of sweet wort with bold tea flavors sparked our idea to brew a beer just like that” and “the tea has sort of a pungent, brisky, malty flavor that balances well with the caramel notes of an amber.”
Of course, this follows Guinness recent release of Nitro Cold Brew Coffee, which offers a 4% ABV.
