While lots of parents worry whether their kids will get into a good college, going to a good high school will likely do a lot to get them there. Well, now parents can know whether or not the high school their kids are going to makes the grade.
- “U.S. News & World Report” just released their 2021 Best High School rankings.
- They evaluated 17,800 schools based on six criteria, with certain factors weighing more heavily than others. Those criteria include:
- College readiness
- Reading and math proficiency
- Reading and math performance
- Underserved student performance
- College curriculum breadth
- Graduation rates
- Topping this year’s list is Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Virginia.
- The school ranks number one for college readiness, and math and reading performance and proficiency. The school also has a 100% graduation rate.
