Being a stay-at-home mom is a full-time job itself, but one woman is trying to do it all while handling last-minute job-related paperwork for her husband and she’s had enough. She’s managing the household and raising four kids while he’s the breadwinner and he expects her to drop everything to take care of all of his emails, book accommodations and appointments and anything else he asks her to do forHISwork.
In a post to Reddit’s “Am I the A-hole” section, she writes that he recently got short and snippy with her because he thought she made a mistake that could jeopardize his upcoming new job. After reassuring him she had done it all right, she felt so fed up, she came up with the idea of charging him a small fee of like $50 a week for these “emergency admin tasks,” which she assures are “never an emergency, just him being pushy.”
She turns to Redditors to ask if she’d be wrong for charging him for the work and hundreds of users agree she has every right. “You flat out shouldn’t be doing any of it,” one comments. “He’s being lazy and entitled.” Another user writes, “Your husband isn’t pulling his weight and you’re enabling him.” And another brings up a really good point: “When does he help YOU? When do you get to relax?”
