Despite everything that 2020 threw at us, Americans stepped up and were caring. They donated time, money they probably didn’t have to burn, and overall showed kindness. Certain areas of the country went above and beyond, though.
WalletHub crunched the numbers and came up with a list of the most caring cities in 2020. They took the 100 most populous cities and judged them on caring for the community, caring for the vulnerable, and caring in the workforce.
Boston came out on top while Madison, Wisconsin was number two and New York City at number three. Rounding out the top five were Freemont, California and Virginia Beach, Virginia.
WalletHub also broke down the number based on specific categories. Who does the most favors for neighbors? Jacksonville, Florida. When it comes to charitable giving Memphis is the most caring. And most volunteering hours per capita sees Baltimore at the top.
