The President of the Arizona Coyotes Xavier Gutierrez joined the show to talk Coyotes. The Arizona Coyotes announced that the club will launch a series of initiatives to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month which runs through October 15. Normally the Coyotes would be getting ready for the season but because of covid the schedule has been turned upside down.
The Coyotes have partnered with Tecate and Crescent Crown Distributing on a program to support over 80 local Valley Latino-owned restaurants during Hispanic Heritage Month. The Coyotes will feature each restaurant on their social media channels and dedicated landing page from September 15 through October 31.The Arizona Coyotes Foundation will also provide the Hispanic Scholarship Fund and Chicanos Por La Causa with grants to support their programs. Chicanos Por la Causa is a non-profit organization that helps individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency by providing accessible healthcare, affordable housing, a quality education, access to meaningful work, and political representation. In addition, the Arizona Coyotes Foundation is working with hockey artist David Arrigo who is creating three Sugar Skull Coyotes goalie masks that will be auctioned off online. Funds generated from the sale of the mask will go to the Foundation. Details on how to bid on the masks will be announced on the Coyotes social media platforms soon.
