Patrick Hoagland of Phoenix is a father who was recently laid off and down on his luck. He applied for work at several local businesses, without any responses.
Patrick decided he needed to think outside the box and try something different, he decided to stand on a street corner with a sign that read "Please take a résumé, laid-off, looking for a job ."
He printed out 200 copies of his résumé and hit the streets searching for work. Melissa DiGianfilippo saw him while she was driving took a photo and posted it on twitter. Boom! Her tweet went viral and Patrick received hundreds of job offers.
