- Pictures that showed up on Twitter shows that it offers users five choices when it comes to genders - woman, trans woman, man, trans man and non-binary people
- The dating feature will prevent current Facebook friends from checking out your profile
As we previously told you, Facebook is getting into the online dating game, and now info has leaked as to some of the features of their new dating service.
The social media giant is currently testing “Facebook Dating” within their company, and pictures that showed up on Twitter show that it offers users five choices when it comes to genders - woman, trans woman, man, trans man and non-binary people.
And if you’re worried that current Facebook friends may judge you for looking for love on the site, don’t worry, it seems that the dating feature will prevent current Facebook friends from checking out your profile, and it will only match you with people with which you have mutual friends in common.
Facebook employees were encouraged to set up dummy profiles to test out the service, which they call “dogfooding,” with the company noting that the tests are not meant to hook current employees up with love matches. “The purpose for this dogfooding is to test the end-to-end product experience for bugs and confusing user interface,” the terms and conditions state. “This is not meant for dating your coworkers.”
