These shots from the Safeway fire Wednesday afternoon at 35th Ave and Northern
give you an idea of what firefighters face with a major fire. Phoenix Fire Department
spokesman Rob McDade commented while watching these live shots that firefighters
on top of the ladders were facing temperatures up to 600 degrees, with temperatures
inside their protective clothing well over 100 degrees ... don't forget to thank a firefighter
for what they do for us when you get a chance!
