Red Vine Reviews with Vique Rojas Special Event
Vique Rojas joined Beth to talk about 2 movie events happening in the Valley. The first A special showing of The Unknown on October 24th. The Friends of the Orpheum Theatre in celebration of our beloved tradition of Silent Sundays debuts The Unknown. The Unknown is a 1927 American silent horror film directed by Tod Browning and starring Lon Chaney as carnival knife thrower "Alonzo the Armless" and Joan Crawford as his beloved carnival girl Nanon.
Guests are invited to enjoy this classic film in one of the most beautiful and historic venues in downtown Phoenix. RPM Orchestra will be performing throughout the movie but also expect some theatrical surprises throughout the show, making this a once in a lifetime cinematic experience.
The second is a showing of The Black Lagoon on October 26th. The Friends of the Orpheum Theatre in partnership with Downtown Phoenix, Inc., announce a new classic film series at the Orpheum Theatre – Phoenix. The third film in our nod to the classics is Creature from the Black Lagoon! This is the perfect film to round out the spooky Halloween season and is definitely one to be experienced in Phoenix’s original movie house. Guests are invited to enjoy the digitally remastered classic in one of the most beautiful and historic venues in downtown Phoenix. Expect some theatrical surprises throughout the show, making this a once in a lifetime cinematic experience.
