Procrastinators scored big with their shopping this weekend - and so did retailers.

It seems going to a brick and mortar store is now a trend. The last weekend before Christmas saw shoppers scrambling to get their last minute gifts. Experts estimate Americans spent over 34 billion dollars on Saturday and Sunday.

To put that into perspective, that's about two and a half billion dollars more than was spent on Black Friday shopping. According to the National Retail Federation, the average shopper will have shelled out $1,047 before this holiday season is over. That's the most since they started keeping track.
