This Restaurant Charges $24 For One Tomato

The Manhattan restaurant HaSalon, from Israeli celebrity chef Eyal Shani, charges $24 for a single tomato

It isn’t grown in soil, rather it is created from nutrients-infused liquid, which allows for perfect tomatoes way before the usual late-summer growing season

The order is basically a skinned tomato, cut in eight slices, with some olive oil and sea salt
