Jeopardy champ donates some winnings in Alex Trebek's name

”Jeopardy!” champion James Holzhauer is donating to a cancer fundraiser in Alex Trebek’s name.

It’s a class move by the champ, who’s giving more than a thousand dollars to a cancer fundraiser in the Chicago-area town where he was raised. Holzhauer was invited to take part in the Naperville Pancreatic Cancer Reach Walk by Ann Zediker. The Naperville woman's father died of pancreatic cancer. Holzhauer won't be able to be in the Chicago suburb for the July 14th walk but he pledged more than a thousand dollars.

Zediker says she was inspired to invite Holzhauer when he presented “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek with a get-well card his four-year-old daughter made. Trebek announced in March he's battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He later shared that he’s near being in remission.
