Toys-R-Us Website Shuts Down

Toys r us website shuts down

The end of an era for children and parents is upon us - Toys 'R' Us has shut down their websites on Friday, two weeks after announcing they would liquidate their stores in the U.S.

A message posted to Toys 'R' Us and Babies 'R' Us websites on Friday left a final goodbye for their patrons over the years.

Thanks for visiting. We have shut down the website for any purchases but our brick and mortar stores are open and holding going out of business sales. We encourage you to stop by your local store and take full advantage of the deep discounts and deals available. Thank you for your business and support over the years. Sincerely, Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us teams.

In September, Toys 'R' Us filed for bankruptcy protection, hoping to reorganize and use the holiday season to bolster its sales. Unfortunately for the toy retailer, those sales never materialized and announced they would liquidate all their stores two weeks ago.

The message told people to stay up-to-date on any closing sales information at goodbyetoysrus.com. Customers who still have money on Toys 'R' Us gift cards will have to use them in a brick-and-mortar store before they expire in two weeks.
