An American made "Russian" vodka maker is taking full advantage of the goings on in Washington D.C.
Vodka maker Smirnoff is poking fun at the investigation into whether the Trump campaign had ties to Russia. In a new ad campaign, Smirnoff brags that it's, "Made in America - but we'd be happy to talk about our ties to Russia under oath." As you know, a special counsel is investigating Russian meddling in the U.S. election, including possible links between the Trump campaign and Russia.
An executive for the vodka company says this is the perfect time to remind people that Smirnoff, though created in Russia, had been made in the U.S.A. for over 80 years.
