Beth & Friends & Food: April 17th

Need a quick meal, maybe something you can eat on the run? Today, Jan is teaching me how to make a super easy and delicious grilled ham and cheese sandwich with Sally Slather. It's the perfect quick meal sure to make the whole family happy.

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

Butter, room temperature

Thick sliced bread (Texas Toast)

Cheeses, ham, cooked bacon and lunch meats of choice

DIRECTIONS

Mix together mayo, mustard, cheese, salt and pepper until well combined.

Spread butter liberally on one side of two slices of bread. Turn bread over. Spread Sassy Slather on the other side.

Pile cheeses on your choice on top of Sassy Slather. Add several pieces of ham, bacon, prosciutto or lunch meats of your choice on top of cheese.

Place in hot skillet or Panini press.

SECRET: When sandwich begins to toast, brush a small amount of sassy slather to both sides of bread. Continue to grill until golden brown.

Serve with a side of hot Bloody Mary Mix for dunking sandwich and assorted olives or pickle.
