While the animals at the zoo look friendly, that doesn't mean you should jump into their enclosures and pet them.
Matthew Swearingen wanted to get up close and personal to a sleeping tiger, so he jumped a fence at the Denver Zoo and tried to pet one.
Luckily for both the tiger and Swearingen, but mostly Matt, he wasn't able to reach the animal and no injuries were reported.
It's unclear why Swearingen jumped the fence, but in light of the incident, the zoo says it's assessing if anything needs to be done to "discourage this illegal behavior from happening again."
