Tasting Notes: Rodano Chianti Classico is a beautiful wine from this famous appellation of Tuscany. Fattoria di Rodano is a top source for classically made, user-friendly and complex Chianti. Located in Castellina in the heart of the Chianti Classico district, the estate dates back as a wine-producing property to the sixteenth century. Wine Spectator scored this 2012 release was scored 93 points.
There's purity to the cherry, strawberry and earth flavors. Juice and well-structured, with a firm mesh of tannins. Finishes long and savory. Built to age. Best from 2018 through 2025.
Rodao Chianti Classico is hand-harvested and certified organic. Medium in body with moderate acidity and silky tannins, this red offers flavors of black cherry, strawberry and mocha, with nicely integrated oak. Aged for 28 months in large Slavonian bottle. It is beautifully balanced to enjoy now or to cellar for 8-10 years. This finish is rich, long and polished.
