Buzz Aldrin Is Now A Tour Guide...Sort Of

The second man to walk on the moon is getting us psyched about space travel by taking people on a tour of the moon and Mars.

Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin is at SXSW in Austin, Texas where he's featured in a virtual reality visit to the lunar and Martian surfaces. A 3-D hologram of Aldrin leads viewers on the virtual tour. The 87-year-old calls the 1969 landing that he and first man on the moon, Neil Armstrong made a "monumental achievement."

But Aldrin says, "There's no greater mission than mankind's journey to Mars." He's excited about plans by private companies SpaceX and Blue Origin to set up a self-sustaining colony on Mars.
