Surrendered Dog Comes With Cute "Instruction" Book

It's heartbreaking when a dog is surrendered back to the shelter he came from, but this story has a happy ending.

When Rhino Lightning was dropped off at the Utah Humane Society, by the family who had adopted him, it was sad. That is until the staff looked through the "instruction book" that came with him; it was written by his former 8-year-old owner.

You see Rhino was much bigger than the family had expected when picking him up and they just couldn't give him the proper environment.

Rhino's instructions from the girl include "Please don't change his name. He likes sleeping under blankets. Take him on at lease 2 or 3 runs a day. Tell Rhino I love and miss him every night."

This is where Melanie Hill steps in. She saw him and adopted him right away. One of the requirements in the instructions was Rhino having a doggie sibling. Check! Hill makes sure she follows the booklet everyday.
