When an artist moved his piece of art so more people could view it, the result was a federal response.
A space capsule-like item that was found in an Arizona field yesterday morning is causing a stir. The large silver object was found along a freeway in Case Grande, complete with an attached parachute, the words "United States" and an American flag. The Department of Public Safety, NASA and Homeland Security were all called and determined it was not a space capsule fallen from the sky...it was art. Among the 911 callers was a former NASA engineer.
The object was only a cement truck drum painted to look like one. Artist Jack Millard says his piece of work has been around for a few decades but this past weekend they decided to move it closer to the roadway.
