OMG: You Can Now Get Coffee Made By A Robot

There's good news for folks sick of waiting forever to have a barista make their coffee, and likely make it wrong. You may soon be able to get your morning cup of Joe courtesy of a robot. That's right, as of yesterday, a new robot barista known as "Gordon" has started serving up coffee in San Francisco and boasts the ability to deliver up to 120 coffees in an hour.

Cafe X, located right near a Starbucks in San Fran's Metreon shopping center, offers seven different drinks, including espressos and lattes, in a variety of flavors. Users order their drink via an app on their phone or on an iPad terminal and then get a text when their beverage is done along with a four digit code that allows them to open the chute and retrieve their beverage.

And if you're worried about the quality, don't be. Cafe X features beans from three popular roasters, Peet's Coffee & Tea, AKA Coffee and Verve Coffee Roasters and they keep them fresh by having them manually replaced daily.
