So if you know me, you know I've always been a firm believer in becoming one with mother nature. I believe that we, just like nature, go through phases of dark and light and death and regrowth. As we settle into darker days and watch the leaves start to fall, I think it's important that we do the same. Autumn is a time to rest. To re-evaluate our relationships and our goals. And it's time to let the things that no longer serve us fall to the ground like we see in nature, creating space for new growth.
For me this has been an eye-opening season already. Friendships I thought would last forever and goals I thought I'd continue to nurture have fallen to the wayside. I've been faced with disappointment only to realize that my disappointment in others in only a reflection of the disappointment in myself. For not setting boundaries sooner. For not recognizing their true colors after initial red flags were waved across my face. I am looking at plans and goals I thought were going to serve me and realizing they were serving others. Basically the theme I've seen in the change in seasons for me is an eye-opening realization that most of the people I've held dear to me this year are only here to pick the fruit, not fertilize the tree.
And this is where the new moon comes to play. The new moon is an opportunity each month for us to start fresh. To be reborn. But this particular new moon is in Libra. Which gives us a rare opportunity to have profound and sudden spiritual insight into our relationships. Go figure! This is a perfect opportunity for us to go inward into reflection, meditation and contemplation. Without the light of the moon we can find ourselves feeling more introverted and focused inwardly. Sit in this darkness. Journal. Listen to your favorite podcast. Vibe with your favorite music. Take a bath. Do the shadow work. Face those opposing thoughts.
Today, Jupiter, is also closer to earth than it has been in 70 years! Did you know Jupiter is also the planet of Good Luck and blessings? Watch as your optimism increases and we become more abundant and bountiful in love and gratitude. Jupiter is also considered the a guru in some forms of astrology. So pay close attention to any spiritual insights you get this week about the people in your life - and LISTEN. That voice never fails us. Those red flags are waving for a reason.
Its okay to let go. To abandon things and people that no longer serve our greater good. It's okay to change our minds. To give up on old ideas and create new ones. So be still. Take a break. Allow yourself to rest and unwind. Take a walk in nature and listen to that inner voice that tells us what direction to go.
Surrender.
