Nestled among a grove of giant sycamore trees along the banks of babbling Oak Creek in Sedona is Tlaquepaque (pronounced T-la-keh-pah-keh) Arts & Shopping Village. Step through the beautiful arched entryway and you'll feel as if you were instantly transported to village in traditional Mexico. Ivy covers many of the storefronts and cobblestone streets lead you to tiled walkways filled with fountains and flowers and an abundance of beautiful galleries, restaurants and shops all tucked away in magical corners and breezeways. There's an abundance of things to look at - even a replica church! You would think it had been there for centuries but the artist-inspired community has only existed since the 70s.
Cross the street for an extension of the Village and get some ice cream at Cream & Cake Couture and spoil the pup at Bow Wow Sedona. Then have your aura photo taken or get a psychic reading at the Center for the New Age Superstore.
