Elevate your date night - and your selfie game - at this interactive art exhibit at Scottsdale Fashion Square. Wonderspaces Arizona gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in unique works of art from around the world. Their mission: "To create shared understanding through shared experience," and from what my date and I experienced last night, I'd have to say mission accomplished.
Wonderspaces features a whole new level of artwork from 13 different artists. Some drawing emotion that I never saw coming...from a piano that played upon the human voice to a confessional that broke my heart and had me laughing so hard I was brought to tears...a room filled with vintage sewing machines that brought me into my own version of a horror film, a fun house of mirrors and lights that resulted in a need to skip and play like a child. There was virtual reality exhibit that pulled that child even further from the shadows, where I pranced around with cartoon-like creatures on a distant planet. We talked to plants and they talked back and we found wonder in the twinkling lights of an exhibit perfectly named Submerged. And we were...submerged with sensory overload - but in the best way imaginable.
Wonderspaces Arizona is the first permanent location of what originated as a pop-up show. Entrance is ticketed, which means you'll always feel like you have the place to yourself.
