Dreams came true this weekend for Karen McCormick. The Spokane native took a shot in the dark and tweeted Walker Hayes her cover of his song "Halloween" only to have him share it on his own Twitter account. But the excitement didn't stop there. Shortly after he asked her to join him on stage at the sold out show at the Knitting Factory and sing the song with him.
McCormick KILLED it. I was there to bear witness to that. As was a house FULL of Walker Hayes fans. Hayes comments at the end of the song..."Goosebumps."
And the goosebumps didn't stop there. Hayes asked McCormick to join him the following night on stage for a second go around - this time at a bigger venue in Seattle. Skyrocketing her into the limelight once again.
Karen McCormick's story doesn't stop there though. Hayes spoke lovingly about her during a recent interview in LA! Are you a fan? Check out her new merch and new music! I can promise you this won't be the last time you hear her name.
Way to go girl! You've got a permanent fan in me!
xoxo,
SJ
