Costco Is Building A Giant Rotisserie Chicken Network

What is one thing you can think of to buy at Costco like a signature item? Rotisserie chicken should be somewhere up there on your list! They are known for it! They make giant rotisserie chicken for about $5 each that can feed an entire family or help create other signature dishes like chicken soup, enchiladas, and so forth.

Now Costco is doing something kind of neat! According to Eater, Costco is building a giant "processing plant in Nebraska and linking up with hundreds of new farms to produce the discount poultry." This comes in hopes of cutting production costs, building a new flow of product, and so forth.

And according to NPR, Costco sells about 60 million rotisserie chickens each year! That is quite a lot of chicken!
