Donald "Don" Moore was drafted into the army during the Vietnam War, and as many of us know, those veterans did not come home to a hero's welcome. Don lost track of family and friends over the years, and was in several group homes and hospice care toward the end of his life. Moore will be laid to rest with full military honors at the National Memorial Cemetery on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. Escorted by the Arizona Patriot Guard Riders, Moore's procession will leave from Wyman Mortuary in Mesa at 11 a.m. and is expected to arrive at the cemetery at 12:20 p.m. The National Memorial Cemetery is located at 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. in Phoenix.
