The Big Money In Collecting 'Rare' Cheetos

Ever reach into a bag of Cheetos and come up holding one that looked like something else? (Like the commercials: "I don't see it." "Oh, it's ON!") It could mean money in your pocket. On eBay, you can find hundreds of listings for so-called “rare Cheetos.” Would you like to buy a fluffy baby penguin ($850) or Flamin’ hot Michael Jackson ($700)? Perhaps instead a phallus ($500), or a rock ($850)? “Not to be eaten, just stored as a collectible,” the seller of a Cheeto shaped like a bald eagle sitting on a branch warns ($850). Frito-Lay, which owns Cheeto, has just finished a “Cheeto Museum" contest where the most exquisitely shaped cheese-puff — in this case, a unicorn — won $50,000 and a permanent home at Ripley’s Believe It or Not!
