If a man loves his dog, chances are he’ll be a good father, according to a study from the University of Minnesota. Men who are strongly attached to their dogs had a more positive image of themselves as fathers, greater satisfaction with marriage and family life and greater acceptance of their babies’ temperaments than fathers who were not pet owners. Apparently, owning a pet allows men a nurturing experience they can transfer over to when they have kids.
