Rotisserie chicken is convenient to grab as part of an easy dinner, but how healthy is it? Registered Dietitian Abby Sauer says rotisserie chicken is super high in protein, and also contains trace amounts of iron, calcium, and vitamin A-- all healthy things. But there is a downside-- depending on how it's seasoned, a rotisserie chicken could be really high in sodium. Sauer says to minimize potential sodium, opt for an unseasoned version, if it's available. Also, chicken skin is high in saturated fat-- so remove the skin before eating.
