Before we get to our Home Opening Day with the Dbacks, let's look at some delish events before the weekend:
Roars And Pours At The Phoenix Zoo Thursday evening (4/4) from 5:30 to 8:30. Swing by the Phoenix Zoo for Happy Hour on the wild side! 21+ event.
AZ Wine And Dine Thursday evening at the Scottsdale Quarter from 6 to 9. This is the Arizona Lodging & Tourism’s annual food and wine festival, features sampling from a variety of Arizona’s most coveted menus. Top chefs from renowned restaurants and resorts will offer culinary delights.
It's the Arizona Diamondback's Home Opening Weekend (4/5-4/7) at Chase Field. Before Game 1 with the Boston Red Socks Friday (4/5) at 4:10 pm, you can enjoy the Opening Day Street Festival along 4th Ave and Jefferson. There will be food trucks, D-backs inflatables, music by JJ’s Band and several other activities. D-backs pitcher Taijuan Walker will be giving fans free tacos, featuring Taijuan’s special taco recipe, out of a specially-designed food truck for an hour during the street festival to benefit Arizona Helping Hands.
Arizona Bike Week continues through Sunday (4/7) at Westworld of Scottsdale. A feast of everything "Motorcycle," AZ Bike Week features charity rides, factory and dealer demos, stunt shows and exhibitions. Also features some big-name rock acts: George Thorogood And The Destroyers on Thursday night and 3 Doors Down Friday night.
The Lake Pleasant Paddle Fest is Saturday (4/6) from 8am to 5pm at Fireman's Cove. There will be sit-in and sit-on-top kayaks, canoes, rafts, Hobie pedal kayaks and other paddle craft for you to try out. Admission is $6 per car.
The Phoenix Pride Festival is Saturday and Sunday (4/6-4/7) from noon to 9pm at Steele Indian School Park.
