FDA Looking Into Possible Health Hazards Of Breast Implants

Well, this is scary news for those of you who've had breast implants. The FDA is looking into possible health hazards of breast implants. They have issued a statement, saying "a growing body of evidence suggests that a small number of patients may have biological responses to certain types of materials in implantable or insertable devices."  The agency issued two warning letters to implant manufacturers, citing their failure to do proper safety studies. The letter says the FDA will take action if implant makers Mentor and Sientra fail to fix the problems with their studies. This product investigation from the FDA is seen as vindication for thousands of women who say their complaints about side effects of getting implants have largely been ignored. Read about the former Detroit traffic reporter who says her implants did that to her and worse HERE! My personal experience is NOT with breast implants, but rather with "natural breast augmentation." In this process, I had liposuction, and the fat they took out was inserted into my breasts! Yes! It's true. I had this done 5 years ago, and everything is just peachy! Email me, and I'll tell you of the wonderful local surgeons who did "my work!" ~Melissa
