See Billy Joel's First-Ever AZ Stadium Show!

Billy Joel has just announced his first-ever stadium show in Arizona this past week. The "Piano Man" will bring his show to Chase Field on Saturday, March 9th, marking his first concert in the city since June 1st, 2014 when he played the US Airways Center. Terry Burke, president of Live Nation Southwest said, 'Billy Joel has had a great history of sellout performances in the Valley,' mentioning his first headlining area performance at the Celebrity Theatre in 1977 and the first-ever concert at Ak-Chin Pavilion, then called Desert Sky Pavilion, in 1990."

Billy Joel has also added an April 12th New York City show as part of his ongoing Madison Square Garden residence.

Billy explained to us how difficult it is to come up with a setlists for certain performances -- and why a sure fire fan favorite isn't necessarily the best choice at every gig: "You're always trying to strike a balance between what the audience would like to hear, what we want to play, and what actually balances out to make a good show and it's kind of hard to strike a balance sometimes. I would not be happy just playing the hits. And I know people are walking out sometimes going, 'Well why didn't he, why didn't he play 'Uptown Girl?' Why didn't he play 'Matter Of Trust?' Why didn't he play 'She's Got A Way?' Why didn't he play 'Tell Her About It?' But we don't always want to do those."
