A exhibit on the life and music of Whitney Houston is opening today at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The exhibit will feature artifacts, clothing and awards received by the singer. It will also showcase her years growing up in the Garden State. The Newark native died after drowning in a bathtub in Los Angeles due to the effects of heart disease and cocaine use in 2012. And then the documentary, Whitney, which came out last summer, exposes a bombshell family secret of abuse and drug use as a child. The relatives of Whitney say this has been a healing process...getting the truth out there. They want us to know the real Whitney, especially in her fragility.
