From our sister station 910 KFYI:
A jury has found comedian Bill Cosby guilty of three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault. Each charge carries a maximum prison sentence of ten years. The guilty verdict comes less than one year after a mistrial was declared when a jury was deadlocked on the charges. The jury of seven men and five women deliberated for 14 hours before reaching their decision.
Cosby was convicted of drugging and molesting Andrea Constand in the actor's suburban Philadelphia home in 2004. During the trial, five women testified that the former Cosby Show star had drugged and raped them over the years.
Cosby showed no emotion as the verdicts were read, while the victims broke into tears at the news.
After the jury left the courtroom Cosby cursed out District Attorney Kevin Steele, who was discussing revoking Cosby's bail. Judge Steven O'Neill ruled that Cosby can remain free until he is sentenced, but must remain at his home, surrender his passport and wear a GPS tracking device.
During closing arguments, Cosby's legal team said the prosecution had presented a weak case with questionable witnesses. They claimed accuser Andrea Constand is a pathological liar and a con artist.
The lead prosecutor accused Cosby's team of shamefully attacking a woman who has come forward to report a sexual assault. Cosby didn't take the stand in the trial.
